Bio
My name is Catelyn and I am current doctoral student in Horticulture and Agronomy. I am from Omaha, Nebraska, and I have hopes to become a research professor at a top agricultural university. My work will be focused on observing the impact of post harvest processes on hemp's physiological and physical properties. Drying is the most cost-intensive process and serves as a source of microbial growth if done incorrectly. My objectives are to use a cost-efficient solar dryer to dry hemp flowers, understand the impact of drying on a mechanistic level, and conduct a qualitative study on current hemp farmers needs. This work will be the foundation of the research I will conduct in my future lab.
