Following the ups and downs of my father’s farm beginnings and development for the last 12 years, considerably improved my understanding of agriculture, the importance of food production and its impact on economy, human health, and the environment. That was the reason why I major in agriculture engineering, at UPAEP (México), during my major I developed a special interest for crop improvement, plant pathology and modeling and quantitative horticulture getting in touch with his areas during my internships and as a research assistant at the phytopathology research area of the UPAEP. I am currently starting my Masters and I plan to give it an emphasis on crop improvement trough agroecology and modeling and quantitative horticulture.
