Maria de los Angeles (Micco) Miccono

Biochemist focused in Plant Biotechnology. I worked in the National Research Center (INIA) in Chile for 13 years improving table grapes and stone fruit using transgenic, miRNA and gene editing approaches. My research topic at UC Davis is to understand the role of JAZ4 protein in Arabidopsis plant development and how it participates as switch between defense and development. This work may contribute to improve lettuces against human and plant pathogens.
