Dario Cantu Lab
- Viticulture and Enology
I graduated from the University of Bari (Italy) with a Bachelor's and a Master's in Biotechnology. Before completing my Master’s, I worked as a visiting researcher at the KARE Center (Parlier, CA – USA). My research aimed at understanding the relationship between woody fungal pathogenic species and the bacterium Xylella fastidiosa in almond plants. As a Ph.D. student in the Cantu Lab, I will continue working on Xylella fastidiosa and, specifically, on the characterization of the Pierce’s Disease resistance genes in grapevine.
