Vegetable Crops: Lima Bean

I am a Ph.D. student in the Gepts lab working on lima beans with a focus on Plant Breeding and Genetics.  I received my undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Biological Sciences and my master’s degree from the University of Illinois in Crop Sciences with a concentration in Plant Breeding.  My research in the Gepts lab focuses on understanding the mechanisms of lygus resistance in lima beans, identifying genetic regions controlling this resistance, and how the domestication process of lima beans influenced this resistance.
