My research examines the effects of almond hulls and shells applied as organic matter amendments in almond orchards. I am interested in effects of this practice on soil nutrient cycling, water dynamics, soil health improvements, tree uptake and crop performance. My research focuses on potassium cycling and the integration of nutrient inputs from post-production biomass in both conventional and organic orchard management systems.
