I am a Ph.D. student in Dina St. Clair’s lab working on the breeding of water stress tolerance and fruit quality traits in processing tomatoes. My research focuses on the effect of chromosome introgressions from wild tomato and how they impact key horticultural and fruit quality traits in cultivated tomato under water stress conditions. In addition, I also work on developing tractor based high throughput phenotyping methods for use in tomato and pepper breeding. I received my bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from UC Davis in 2016 before starting my Ph.D. here later that year.
