Pelin Yüksel, PhD

I am a PhD student in the Michelmore Lab working on the identification and genetic mapping of resistance genes in lettuce against Bremia lactucae (the causal organism of lettuce downy mildew). My research focuses on genome assembly, resistance gene mapping, genome editing, and plant-microbe interactions. I received my BS degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Bioengineering from Sabancı University, Istanbul.
