Terryn Hutchings, PhD

I am a PhD student working with both the Khanday and Van Deynze labs at the UCDavis Seed Biotechnology Center. I grew up in northwest Missouri and began my undergraduate studies at Missouri State University, eventually moving to California to finish my BS in Biotechnology. 

My projects include developing methods for clonal true potato seed development via synthetic apomixis in potatoes, and leveraging wild carrot diversity for breeding drought tolerant carrots and development of associated genomic based tools including MAS and GS.
